Burmiitti / Burmite
Burmite Amber is much older, at least 100 million years old, which means that it is from Cretaceous. Other ambers , which are used for jewelry or carvings are much younger, from the Tertiary period.
because of it´s age, burmite is much harder than other ambers, and can be higly polished and faceted
Burmite have more orange colour that any other ambers too
