Ominaista : erikoinen Pakistanin clinozoisiitti kirkkaana jalokivenä

Clinozoisite is a rare member of the epidote family containing less than 10% iron. It is usually much lighter than epidote in color and has never been found as exceptionally large crystals. With a birefringence of .01, it is biaxial positive in sign while epidote is biaxial negative. The absorption spectrum shows strong lines at 455nm and a weaker line at 475nm. Clinozoisite was named for its resemblance to zoisite and its monoclinic crystallization.
