Omega's factory celebrated its 125th anniversary in 1973. To celebrate this occasion, Omega produced the Speedmaster 125 Chronometer model. The watch was a special specimen in many ways. For this model, Lemania developed the world's first chronometer-rated automatic chronograph movement for Omega. The movement was based on Lemania's cal.1340. which became Omega cal. 1041. This chronometer-rated movement was used only and exclusively in this model. First production 2000pcs made, later reproductions for this popular collector's model produced in fallowing years.
